The Turnaround in Pacific City, Oregon
Located at the west end of the main bridge on Pacific Avenue in Pacific City, the Turn-Around has a small parking area where you can walk over the dune and enjoy the beach. This area will be less crowded than at Cape Kiwanda, but takes a tiny bit more effort to walk from the parking area over the dune to the beach. There you can explore the tide pools and a variety of small marine life.
The Turn-Around also provides an excellent view of the Pacific Ocean, with its many rolling waves and rugged shoreline. A perfect spot for beachcombing, as well as watching for local wildlife like seals, sea lions, cormorants, and birds of all sorts.
